Jens Christian Rodi Hansen
On the 6th of March 1973 I made my entrance to this world. Since then I have done whatever possible to keep my self very busy.
I grew up in a city called Hørsholm, which is located about 27km north of the Danish capital, Copenhagen. I lived there for a little over 28 years before moving to a little house in Ølstykke. A few years later I meet my wife Marie. We now live with our daughter Ellen in Brønshøj, a city about 6km outside the center of Copenhagen.
Professionally I'm an engineer, more precise a software engineer. I work in a danish company called Greenwood Engineering, designing and implementing software for railway and road measuring equipment. I have been employed there since I graduated from the Danish Technical University in the late summer of 1997. If you want all the details, please read my curriculum vitae. It is available in both my native language danish and in english.
Software design and development is also something I do in my spare time, creating small application for my personal needs. Some of these application are available for download from this site. Lately the free time have been somewhat limited and so have the progress here.
While I studied at the university a good friend and I started a small consulting company. It got the very engenious name ChroMa Consult and still exists, though at the moment with a very limited number of activities involving me.
In my spare time I play the Violin. I have done so, or at least tried, since I was 7 years old, and some say that I do it pretty well. I've played in a number of places, both large symphony orchestras like Copenhagen Youth Symphony Orchestra and Amateur Symphonics and smaller chamber music ensembles like Arco and Lensgrevindens Serenade Ensemble.
Once a year I used to play in the orchestra for a theater called the Thorvaldsen Theatre, performing musicals like Hello, Dolly! and Guys and Dolls. More information about musical activities is available on the music and concert pages, including details on the concerts I participate in.
